1952 National Decathlon Championships & Olympic Trials program.  Fresh from his Olympic Trials win and prior to travelling to Helsinki, Sim gave a discus exhibition in front of his hometown crowd of Tulare, while his friend and teammate Bob Mathias won the National Decathlon Championship and Olympic Decathlon Trials.

Souvenir matchbook from the 1955 West Coast Relays. 1955 Coliseum Relays program.  Nursing a collapsed lung which occurred less than a week earlier at the West Coast Relays, this Coliseum Relays proved to be Sim's final meet of his athletic career.  In May of 1955, Sim was ranked #1 in the U.S. Discus rankings.  He would also be ranked #5 in the World Rankings for 1955.
